World Series by Renault is an annual event held in several locations throughout Europe, including Silverstone. Each weekend includes the Formula Renault 3.5 Series, Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, Eurocup Megane Trophy and Eurocup Clio events. Members of the public can also get a close up view of many of the cars in the paddock and even get the chance to walk the pits.
Highlights of the World Series by Renault at Silverstone included the unveiling of the new 2012 Formula Renualt 3.5 Series car which was test-driven by Renault’s Formula 1 reserve driver, Romain Grosjean. Roman also demonstrated the abilities of the Formula 1 test car on the Silverstone track.
The Renault Megane stunt drivers and Jean Ragnotti also put on excellent displays to entertain the crowds. Jean Ragnotti performed his regular collection of 360 spins and other daring stunts in his Renault 5 and the Megane stunt drivers performed an amazing choreographed arrangement of stunts which included climbing out of their cars to stand atop them as they travelled down the pit straight!
