For the past several years the Midlands United Cruise has continued to grow and grow, come rain or shine. This year was no exception.
Over 30 convoys had been planned from every part of the Midlands over the past few months organised by Rich PR.
We left from Uttoxeter with the guys from MPH-UK at about 6:30pm, so unfortunately missed the first cars arriving in Coventry.
By about 7:30pm, as the car park was getting full, the police blocked the entrance and tried to ruin the fun. This had very little effect on the cruisers already parked up, but late arrivals must have been very disappointed.
The turn out included a wide variety from the rich and fancy American muscle cars and drift spec motors, to the “Rat Race” scene and half completed project cars, giving a glimpse of what to expect for next year’s show season.
All in all an eventful and enjoyable evening despite the police supervision and riot vans in close proximity.
